The Red Devils had thrown away a 3-0 lead in normal time, with the Sky Blues sensationally bringing it back to 3-3 and almost claiming victory, only for their fourth goal in extra time to be ruled out by VAR.

In the end, Manchester United sealed the win by beating Coventry 4-2 on penalties - but despite avoiding defeat, Antony then turned things sour by cupping his ears at his opponents.

Now, Brentford's Maupay has revealed that despite him regularly pulling off his own s***housery, he wouldn't have gone as far as Antony.

Reposting the clip of Antony's antics on X, the Bees star wrote with a cry-laughing face: "Just for the record, not even I would do this."

MORE ON MAN UNITED

Maupay himself has been on the wind-up himself plenty of times this season.

This campaign alone, the Frenchman has appeared to tease Kyle Walker, James Maddison, Kevin Nolan, Johann Berg Gudmundsson and Scott McTominay.

He's even had a light-hearted pop at stars outside of football, including darts sensation Luke Littler.

Now, he can add Antony to his list.

Whilst the Brazilian decided to goad Coventry's players following their impressive effort, Man United's Harry Maguire was praised for deciding to shake their hands straight away instead.

Simon Jordan insists Neal Maupay was right to use Kyle Walker's personal issues to get into his head during Brentford's game with Manchester City

The Red Devils will now face Manchester City in the FA Cup final next month on May 25.

For now, Erik ten Hag and co will turn their attention to their clash against basement side Sheffield United at Old Trafford on Wednesday, exclusively live on talkSPORT2.
